  • Norwegian Museum Archive Portal
    • Site with a catalogue of thousands of Scandinavian items, from prehistory to present. Search is very clunky, and tags are inconsistent, but an invaluable resource nonetheless.
  • Hilde Thunem's Website
    • Great research and experimental archaeology, particularly with respect to female Viking-Age clothing.
  • Project Fate; Tomáš Vlasatý
    • Blog with particular emphasis on Viking-Age Arms and Armor. I believe some of the site is behind a paywall, but much is freely available
  • Hurstwic
    • A general overview of many aspects of Viking-Age culture; religion, food, clothing, and combat.
  • Viking Answer Lady
    • Another general overview of Viking-Age culture, but with much more depth on certain topics.
  • Library Genesis
    • Enabling open-access in an era of academic gatekeeping through inordinate paywalls (note: linked mirror may be down)
  • Sci-hub
    • Similar to LibGen, Sci-hub is an easy to navigate site to obtain access to otherwise inaccessable articles (note: linked mirror may be down)
  • Google scholar
    • Google Scholar is a decent search for open access articles. Ultimately, EBSCOhost is the most comprehensive I've used, but access is generally limited to Academic Institutions.
  • Google Books
    • Similar to scholar, a great source for books (largely out of print/public domain).
